I've scaled back my weddings a bit over the past few years and my main goal has been to work with couples that I really jive with, that are fun, down to earth, and love to laugh. I can't say enough how much this has impacted my life. I love photographing weddings for wonderful families like Renee and Kyle's. Their day was truly FULL OF LAUGHTER, and there are so many pictures to prove it. I love that as I'm editing previews the next day, I find myself constantly smiling. There was such a sense of family and community at their wedding and the ritual of marriage and wedding really made SENSE when you attend a wedding like theirs. From the polka's, the waltzing, and the traditional bridal polka, to the hysterical and fun guests dancing the night away. One thing I noted was how much Renee's dad enjoyed polka'ing with her, and that as the bridal dance came to the end he hugged her SO TIGHTLY in the crowd of family and friends, waiting for Kyle to break through the crowd and steal away his new bride. As the mom of three girls, I can imagine how tightly I want to hold on to them and these moments. I truly enjoyed meeting these folks, and oh yeah, the bridal party. THE BRIDAL PARTY. You did not disappoint, thanks for being so fun and thanks Mike, for making sure EVERYONE knew my name was Julie.
